
Alley, Laurice Snapp, age 94, of Richmond died on June 22,2015. She was the widow of C. Russell Alley and was preceded in death by her parents Hugh John Snapp and Effie Winn Snapp and her two brothers Hugh T. Snapp and Roy H. Snapp. Left to cherish her memory are two nephews, Herbert Donald “Don” Snapp and his wife Linda of Alpharetta, GA, and Gerald Coley (Jerry) Snapp and his wife Sally of Snellville, GA, two nieces Barbara Snapp Garrison and spouse William (Bill) Garrison of Manakin-Sabot, VA, Betty Snapp Barrett and spouse Dr. Lee Barrett of Lancaster, PA. Four great nephews and two great nieces, and a sister-in-law Marjorie Wood Snapp. Mrs. Alley graduated from Ferrum College in Ferrum,Va. and retired from the Federal Government. She loved to travel, visiting Europe, Asia, The Middle East, Africa, Mexico and forty-seven of the fifty states. She found great joy as well as long lasting friendships through her 27 years as a volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was a member of Welborne United Methodist Church and a resident of The Hermitage at Cedarfield. There will be a private service Monday, June 29 at 10:00 am at Westhampton Memorial Park in Richmond. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 29 at 2:00 pm for a memorial service at The Hermitage at Cedarfield.
