She was followed by two more daughters, Pattie and Sharon. As a child she enjoyed playing with her sisters, her friends, going to church and being around her family. While growing up her family loved going to Charlotte, North Carolina to visit their grandparents and have some quality time together. By the time she was a teenager she spent a lot of time at Laurel Park United Methodist Church with the youth group and managed to stay in contact with a few of them (Ginger and Carol) over the years. Linda went to Hermitage High School where she met her future husband Steve. They enjoyed their time together riding his motorcycle, going to drive-ins and just being together. One day while riding, Steve asked Linda when she would like to get married, she said November 11th. So he said ok we will be married this November 11th. Linda Graduated in June 1972 from Hermitage and was married to Steve in November the same year. They Welcomed their first child Barry in February 1974 and second child April in May 1978. As a family they enjoyed going on vacation together to places like Walt Disney World, Maine, World's Fair in TN, the beach, Mystic Seaport, among other places. She loved watching her kids play sports, going to school activities and church functions. In April 1993 the love of her life passed away and she was left to be a single mother. That was a very hard time for her but she came out of it a much stronger and confident woman. Linda's first grandson was born in March 1994 and her second was born 1999, she was known as Memaw after that. She loved those boys so much and would do anything for them. She even took them on summer vacation and weekend trips just to spend time with them. As the years passed by and everyone was growing up, her love never faded for us. Linda and April enjoyed being with each other so much that they went on vacation together every year. Some of the places they enjoyed together were Disney World, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Maine, Gatlinburg, Pennsylvania, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Wrigley Field and the Cheese Shop just to name a few. The best time would be just getting in the car and driving, not knowing where we would end up. Linda worked in the medical billing field for over 45 years. Her most recent job was with Richmond Ambulance Authority where she worked for almost 13 years. She loved working at RAA and made many friends while working there. She was a beloved member of Christ United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She served on just about every committee at one point or another, she was a children's Sunday school teacher as well as an adult one in later years. She made some everlasting relationships with some of the congregation. She was reunited with 2 of her youth group friends (Ginger and Carol) shortly after she started going to Christ United Methodist Church. She was a beloved, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She Loved much and often. She was always there when you needed her She treated everyone fairly (until you crossed her) She was sassy and a spitfire She was so many things to so many people, she will always be in our hearts and loved by us.
