

Loretta Ellixson Riddle Perry, 86, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, in Henrico, VA. Born to Graham James Ellixson and Beulah Anne Ellixson in Halifax County, Virginia, Loretta lived a life full of faith, compassion, kindness, and unwavering strength.
Loretta was highly regarded by her family, friends, and everyone who had the opportunity to know her. She was known for her warm smile, generous spirit, and dedication to her faith and community. Loretta spent her life pursuing Healthcare, Real Estate, snow skiing, tennis, golf, and a variety of games with friends.
As a graduate of Clarksville High School, Loretta was always striving to make a positive impact on those around her. After obtaining her BS & MS degrees from VCU/MCV, as a member of the Nursing National Honor Society, she pursued her career as a Registered Nurse and teaching classes at Johnston Willis School of Nursing. Her career path continued with impactful roles at Henrico Doctor's Hospital and Rappahannock General Hospital until her compassion for helping others led her to a flourishing career in Real Estate. Loretta was a consistent winner of the Distinguished Achiever Award with Long & Foster Real Estate and a frequent Multimillion Dollar Producer. She genuinely loved Real Estate and helping her clients achieve their dreams.
Loretta will be deeply missed, but her love, laughter, and wisdom will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Anyone that knew Loretta will continue to cherish the memories and guidance she provided throughout her life.
Loretta is survived by her two children, "Budd" Garnett L. Riddle, Jr. (Cheryl), “Casey" Elizabeth Riddle Speas (Joey), her brother William Lawrence Ellixson, her aunt Hillard Buchanan Powers, as well as two nieces and two nephews.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward T. Perry and the father of her children, Garnett L. Riddle.
A memorial service will be held on November 15, 2025 at 11a.m., located at Derbyshire Baptist Church, 8800 Derbyshire Road in Henrico, VA, where friends and family will gather to celebrate Loretta's remarkable life and legacy. Loretta loved flowers, but in lieu of flowers contributions may also be made to the Alzheimer's Association, reflecting Loretta's enduring commitment to helping others.
