Mrs. Louise W. Hill

Hill, Ricie Louise Woodward went to be with OUR HEAVENLY FATHER on January 10, 2026. She was born on January 19, 1927 to Edmund Cleveland Woodward and Rosa Belle Nuckols of Goochland county. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters; Arbutus Bradshaw, Elsie Mae Connalley, her husband Lindley B. Hill Sr. and son Lindley B. Hill Jr. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Hill Lumpkin, her son-in-law W. Kevin Lumpkin and grandson Walter Kyle Lumpkin. She is also survived by nephews and a niece, along side, several great nieces and nephews, and great-great nephews and a niece.

She graduated from Rockville High School and went to James Madison College. She then completed a Dietetic internship program at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1949. Upon returning to Virginia, she accepted a position at the Medical College of Virginia working with patients. She later became the Dietetic Instructor within the internship program. She was a member of the American Dietetic Association, as well as, the Virginia and Richmond affiliates. In 1986, she retired from MCV.

She loved to travel and took many tours through the states and National parks as well as trips abroad to Australia, New Zealand, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. After settling down from her travels she enjoyed spending time with and watching her grandson grow.

She was a lifetime member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church of Goochland County and had been active in the Woman's Society of Charity Services, the sunshine circle and always had a lot of fun participating in the Centerville Homemakers Club. She always appreciated and enjoyed the food, program and sing -a-longs at the primetimers luncheons. recently, she had enjoyed sharing in worship and fellowship with brothers and sisters of Berea Baptist Church of Hanover

A visitation will be held at Woody Funeral Home, located at 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229, on January 15, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at the same venue on January 16, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

The committal service is scheduled for January 16, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm, at Westhampton Memorial & Cremation Park, 10000 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23238.
