

Adams, 92, of Richmond, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2011. She was born to the late William F. Adams and Harriet S. Adams. She was a longtime member of Grove Avenue Baptist Church and a member of Women's Missionary Society, "The Keenagers" and a member of the church Endowment Committee. She was an active member of Monacan Woman's Club for over 25 years, a member of the Tuckahoe Woman's Club, the Tri Club and the Westwood Club. Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband, H. Armistead Blackley; her daughter, Pamela L. Blackley; and her sister, Frances A. Jefferson. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Alison B. Hetzer and husband, John R. Hetzer; and one adored grandson, John A. Hetzer; sister, Polly S. Tuck and husband, Franklin D. Tuck; one niece, Harriet T. Snyder and her husband, John H. Snyder, and their three children, Scott, Meredith and Caroline; one nephew, F. Scott Tuck and wife, Laurie S. Tuck, and their three children, Clare, Paige and Scott; cousin, Martha B. Cook; and many close and dear friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229. There will be a church service on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Grove Avenue Baptist Church, with interment at Westhampton Memorial Park in Richmond, Va. The family wishes to thank her caregiver, Jeanne Burnette and the wonderful staff at The Hermitage at Cedarfield.
