Mao Thi Vu

Vu, Mao Thi, 86, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2019. She preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Am Nguyen. She was born January 12, 1933 in Vietnam. She was the loving mother of seven children, Huan, Chuong, Van Anh (d. 2011), Phuong Anh, Hong Anh, Hoang, and Tu Anh (d. 1974). She was a proud grandmother of seven, Minh, Tam, Hoang, Khanh, Vy, Khoa, and Amanda. She had one great grand-daughter, Penelope, whom she had a chance to meet just a few days before her passing. Mao came to the US in 1992 with Hong Anh, Phuong Anh, and Huan to join her husband and son, Hoang. In the following years the rest of her family joined her with Chuong and his family arriving in 1999, and Van Anh and her family coming in 2006. A reception for family and friends will be held Tuesday November 19 from 1 PM to 8 PM at Woody Funeral home on Parham road. The family will hold a private service.
