Marcelle, a native born French Canadian from Coaticook , Quebec , had been an avid volunteer and loved to reach out to others. She was a founding member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church where she began softball teams, an active older adult group, a widow/widowers’ group, and was a Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed participating in many clubs and civic groups in town as well as activities at the Tuckahoe YMCA. She was loved and is survived by her husband of 14 ½ years, Robert J. Cook, daughter Patricia Hudson Hawn, son in law Mark Hawn, stepson Larry Cook, his wife Lauren Leinhaas Cook, and grandsons Dakota Hawn, Matt Cook, and Sam Cook, and granddaughter Skyler Hawn, along with a brother, Bernard Lamoureux of Ontario. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, November 24, 2012 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church 4491 Springfield Rd. followed by a church hall reception. The interment will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at 1:00pm at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery 12609 Patterson, Ave.
