Margaret "Bobbie" Peery Kerns Locks

LOCKS, Margaret “Bobbie” Peery Kerns, 90, passed away March 14, 2017, in Bon Air, Va. She is survived by her husband Darius “John” M. Locks, Jr.; children, Gene (Dean Warden) McDonald Kerns, Barry Peery Kerns and Mary Ellen (Harold “Chip”) McGraw; step-children, Debra (Clarence “Chip”) Farmer and David (Linda) Locks; sister Ellen Hultberg, Fernandina Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert M. and Flora Atwell Peery; a sister, Mary Jane Howard; a brother, Robert A. Peery and her first husband, Hiram “Buck” Kerns.

Bobbie was a member and elder of Colonial Place Christian Church. She retired as a Traffic Director at Richmond Engineering Company (RECO), and was an active founding member of The Women’s Traffic Club. Bobbie loved to spend time with her grandchildren and travel.

Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m., Friday, March 17, at Woody Funeral Home-Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, Va. 23229. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Colonial Place Christian Church, P.O.
