Margaret Moseley Nuckols, age 96, died on September 17, 2018. She was born on February 3, 1922, in Mecklenburg County, Virginia, to the late Herbert and Lillian Moseley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, C. Conway Nuckols, her daughter, Brenda Pleasants and her three sisters, Dorothy Taylor, Mildred Shelton and Rebecca Newman, along with many other family members and friends. Margaret was a long time and faithful member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church. She taught the Dorcas Sunday school class for over 40 years and served in many other capacities. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and proclaimed until the end that God was so good to her and her family. She was a homemaker for many years and always enjoyed “keeping house”, as she called it. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, etc. and all things family. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Meador and her husband, Mickey, and Robin Cole and her husband, Andy, her grandchildren, Sherry Fones, Scott Meador and his wife, Mindy, Lindsay Krodel and her husband, Josh, and Rachel Cole, and her great-grandchildren, Faith Fones, Brandon and Ethan Meador. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and special friends. Many thanks to all of you who visited, called and sent cards over the years. The family also would like to thank all of those who have cared for Mom but especially the staff at Sunrise Senior Living on Parham Road. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 19, from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 at Woody Funeral Home, Parham Road. Graveside service will be held at Westhampton Cemetery on Thursday, September 20, at 10:00 a.m. Memorial service will be held at Mount Vernon Baptist Church at 11220 Nuckols Road at 11:30 a.m. with reception to follow.
