I met Marlies on a blind date on October 21, 1961. We fell in love that night and I asked her to marry me three weeks later and she said yes. We have enjoyed 55 years of marriage raising three wonderful children and eight fabulous grandchildren. Marlies' passions were teaching kindergarden, teaching grandchildren the piano, and ice skating. Her mission was to be a blessing to everyone she met. So many fond memories to keep Marlies in all of our hearts always. Marlies' Christmas card to me said, "There's Nobody I'D Rather Have By My Side Than You" and that's how I feel about Marlies. Love you "Happy Oma".
