

POOLE, Marilyn Malone, 73, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016, in Henrico, Va. She was born in Petersburg, Va., on January 9, 1943 to parents, Thomas H. and Mary Frances Malone. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Eddie Poole of Henrico; son, Trip Poole; and grandson, Eppes Poole of Mechanicsville, Va.; sister, Barbara (Bob) Hunt of Stafford, Va.; sister-in-law, Willie Anna (Tom) Denton; ; nieces, Suzanne (Mike) Pfeifer of Raleigh, N.C., Rebecca (Matt) Viverito of Farmer City, Ilinois and Laura (Jason) Smith of Effingham, Illinois; and nephew, Bryan Hunt of Stafford, Va.
Marilyn was a teacher for 30 years in the school districts of Prince George, Petersburg, Mecklinburg and Henrico County (Johnson Elementary), Va. She loved reading, tending to her flowers and was a faithful a member of Westhampton United Methodist Church for 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for family and friends will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Woody Funeral Home-Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229. Graveside Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Rd., South Prince George, Va. 23805.
