Mayito is survived by his loving wife and lifetime partner, Yolanda G. Leon, his daughters, Yoly Leon and Elizabeth Cherres (David), grandchildren, Sofia and Olivia, as well as his beloved sister, Acelia Alvarez.
He loved to dance and sing karaoke with his favorite song "Sweet Caroline", his favorite holiday was New Years Eve. Mayito was always up for a party (usually at his home), making people laugh with his charisma, and always lending a helping hand to those in need. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday Aug. 7th 10:30 AM at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church , 4491 Springfield Rd. in Glen Allen. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the mass. Burial will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1400 Randolph St. in Richmond.
