Mary Marble Walthall Jones

Mary Marble Walthall Jones departed this life on November 18, 2025. Born in Alberta, VA on July 1, 1936. She was predeceased by her parents E.B. and Peg Walthall and by a sister, Nancy W. Avery of Alberta, Va. She is also predeceased by one brother in law, F. Taft Jones and his wife Rose, one sister in law, Carolyn Lynn of Spartanburg, S.C.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dr. Stanley Bernard Jones. She is also survived by her two children, Stanley Bernard Jones, Jr. and his wife Heather, Christopher Chadbourne Jones and his wife Mitchell, three grandchildren, Stanley Thompson, Abigail Cullen and Christopher Chadbourne Jones, Jr. and brother, Edward Branch (Booda) Walthall and his wife Gayle and is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Marble attended Mary Washington College and graduated from Johnston Willis Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the Tuckahoe Woman's Club, the Hermitage Country Club and the Country Club of Virginia.

She was active at Trinity Methodist Church, she volunteered at the Hermitage Home for a number of years and was a member of the Richmond Dental Auxiliary. She enjoyed her golf and Bridge friends and various Church groups.

Her internment will be a private family service.

There will be a celebration of her Life on December 18, 2025, at Trinity United Methodist Church at 2 pm., 903 Forest Ave, Richmond, Va. 23229.
