Dori, Rob, and Carrie - I am so sad for your loss. Mike was an integral part of my family, as were all of you, while we lived in Midlothian and were best of friends and neighbors. I am thinking of you all and sending prayers and love in this terribly sad time of your lives. Love, Anne

Dear Dori & Family,
We are thinking of you! Mike was a very warm and loving cousin. We always enjoyed visiting with you both and your family. Doug has wonderful memories of visiting with Mike and his brother and sisters during their childhood. We are so happy that the "Hammel kids" organized and held the "Hall Sisters' Family Reunion" three years ago. I know that he loved all of you very much!
Love,
The Eriksens

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dori and the rest of the family. Mike cared deeply about other people- especially family- but never passed up a chance to help out a friend or lend an encouraging word.

Mike was Jim's roomate for two years at VA Tech and best man at our wedding. There was no kinder soul on this earth than Mike. He will be sorely missed.

I met Mike Easter weekend, 1973. He has been a loved member of our family since. He obviously deeply loved Dori, his family, and his church. In looking forward to seeing him again in heaven, I wonder whether he'll be playing an African drum?

He was a wonderful Father-in-law. I see his love, kind nature and teachings in his family. He will be with us forever.
