Nancy Lee Bass, 70, of Hopewell, passed away October 14, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Joseph and Frances Elizabeth Emrich. She is survived by two daughters, Darlene M. Hodges and husband, Jesse, and Theresa Nuckols and husband, James; two sons, Tallman Johnson Jr. and wife Lorri, and Gary Lee Johnson and wife, Michelle; a sister, Shirley Bartolomeo and husband, Roy; and her companion of 23 years, Earl Wayne Terry; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy was a lifetime member of Mid Cities Civic Association, where she had many friends she played bingo with. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. The family will receive friends Monday, October 18, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, and where services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. Interment Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to breast cancer research.
