Norman Ellis Grubbs, 76 of Powhatan died July 30, 2011. He was born to the late Percy and Annie Grubbs on August 2, 1934. He was a member of Highland Springs Church of Christ. He was a US Navy veteran. Norman was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years Claudine Shrewsbury Grubbs, his parents and one son Norman Ellis Grubbs, Jr. (Butch)
He is survived by his children Donna Dicks and husband Tim and David Charles Grubbs, a special daughter in-law Joann Grubbs. Five grandchildren Jackie Rudd and husband Michael, and their two children Braxton & Owen, Jessica Grubbs, Haley Dicks, Daniel Grubbs and Justin Dicks.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA 23229 and services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with interment following at Greenwood Memorial Park.
