Patti Anne Lewellen

Patti is survived by her son, Greg Parker (Tracey); her stepchildren Lisa Watry (Carl), Debbie Wechter (Mike), and Jim Lewellen; her grandchildren Amelia Parker (Lilith), Sylas Parker, Heather Watry, and Jenna Thomas (Kevin); and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Lewellen; her parents, Melton Ross and Dovie Ross; and her siblings Shirley Proudfoot (Doc), Ralph Ross (Alice) and Lincoln Ross.

Patti was born in Stearns, KY and made her way to Georgia after graduating high school where she lived in Brunswick for nearly 20 years. Most of her career in Georgia was spent within the personal lending industry, managing a local branch of a national lending group. She eventually moved to the Jacksonville, FL, area where she continued to work in automotive finance lending with a number of local offices for another 35 years before retiring. She met and married Jim during her time in Florida - their love and life together was brief but it meant so much to her. After COVID, Patti relocated to the Richmond, VA area to be near Greg who continued to monitor and support her through the complications related to her Alzheimer’s diagnosis.

Throughout her life, Patti was known for her love of gaming and games, especially when it meant there was a crowd of friends nearby. The local backgammon club, the friends gathered at the blackjack table, solitaire card games on a rainy day - all forms of games kept her happy. She and Jim met and fell in love with this shared passion and always found themselves surrounded by friends and laughter.

She always made time for family, especially her grandchildren, her brothers and sister and their children. Phone calls, weekend dinners, and holiday visits were all part of the way Patti connected with family throughout her life.

Patti will be missed by those who were met with her infectious smile, her generosity, and loving spirit. A celebration of her life will be scheduled at a later time so friends and family in the Georgia/Florida area can be present.
