Peggie Wright Massie

Peggie Wright Massie, 84, of Richmond, Va. passed away peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2021. She was preceded in death by first husband Cecil R. Harris; and her parents, William Randolph and Elizabeth Leake Wright. She is survived by her husband, John Frank Massie, and her son Cecil R. Harris Jr. ( Peggy), and daughter Christine Hawthorne (Scot); grandchildren William (Lisa) and Casey (Anthony) Harris, Kristin (Thomas) Wolfe, and Tyler Hawthorne; great grandchildren; Isabella, Blake and Everly Harris. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially Sallie Corra. Her many talents included extensive baking for others during the holidays. Visitation with the family will be held at 9am on Monday, October 25, at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA. A graveside service will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park, 12609 Patterson Ave. Richmond, VA 23238. The family would like to thank the staff at Bon Secours Community Hospice House for all their caring and kindness.
