Phillip was a 1972 graduate of Magnolia High School and a 1976 graduate of Harding University, Searcy, AR with a BA in Business and earned a Master’s in Speech and Theatre at West Texas State University in 1984.
He married Paula Renay Myers on November 26, 1977 in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Jameson became a military spouse when Paula was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force Nurse Corps. Throughout their 26 years of Air Force life, the Jamesons called many places throughout the United States “Home.”
Despite numerous health issues, Phillip had a zest for life and deeply loved his family, art, animals, and travel. He especially loved his dogs and was a generous donor to the Humane Society of Missouri. He and Paula enjoyed over 50 cruises and everything Disney—especially Pluto and Eeyore. In recent years, he was able to fulfill his dream to study art in Florence, Italy.
Phillip was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, W.L. and “Mama” Sue Jameson of Magnolia, AR, and maternal grandparents, Remmell and Alice Henry of Nashville, AR and his father, Paul Hayes Jameson of Magnolia, AR.
Phillip is survived by his beloved wife, Paula; his mother, Mary Evelyn (Henry) Jameson of Magnolia, AR; his sister, Ruth Ellen Dixon of Magnolia, AR; his brother, Mark Henry Jameson (D’Ann) of Richmond. He was also the proud uncle of two nephews, Nick (Becca) Jameson of Burke, VA; and Chris (Tracey) Jameson of Richmond, VA; and his niece, Lisa Brewster (Dieter Bohn) of Oakland, CA.
Mr. Jameson was very proud to be great uncle to Ivy, Pierce, Storm, Flint,Whittemore, and Grayson Jameson. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Kim (Bob) Etter of Fairborn, OH; and Barbara Ford of Little Rock, AR and her sons, Michael Hoffman of Denver, CO; and James Hoffman of Little Rock, AR. Phillip will be greatly missed by special friends, Robynne Rice and Charlie and Becky Fowlkes among so many other friends and family.

Visitation will be held at Woody Funeral Home Parham Chapel on Wednesday, May 2 from 5-8 PM with the funeral service on Thursday, at 2 PM on May 3 at the Three Chopt Church of Christ, 9500 Three Chopt Road, Richmond. Graveside Services will be held in Columbus, Ohio at Union Cemetery on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.
