

Ramona O. Rutherford of Bumpass, Va, went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2026. Ramona was born June 23, 1945 to Bill and Betty Minor. She was raised in Point Marion Pennsylvania before moving to Virginia. She married Ronald V. Rutherford on March 2, 1970 and was married for 55 years when she passed. They had three children, Vincent, Amy, and Jonathan. In May of 1992 she graduated from J. Sargeant Reynolds with an Associate in Applied Science Degree with a major in Legal Assisting and a specialization in Litigation. Throughout her career she worked in nursing, accounting, legal assisting, and resource management. After retirement she continued to give through substitute teaching at Jouette elementary school. She was a faithful member of the United Pentecostal Church and served as a Sunday school teacher at Harbor Light Pentecostal under Rev. Nathan Pulling, as well as hosting small group meetings at their home in Louisa while being a member of Life Church under Pastor Buddy Thompson for the last 20 years. She loved traveling, including trips to Alaska, Venezuela, Niagara Falls, Canada, and many landmarks across the US. She enjoyed tea parties with family as well as taking pictures, snow, and the Christmas season. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Minor, mother, Betty Minor, and brothers, Harry and David Minor. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Rutherford, son, Vincent Rutherford, Veronica Rutherford, daughter, Amy Rutherford, and son, Jonathan Rutherford (Stephanie), twelve grandkids, Taylor Hall (Anthony), Amanda Walke (Cain), Gabriella Jackson, Makya Jackson, David Rutherford, Cash Curtis, Alondra Rutherford, Royal Curtis, Levi Rutherford, and Asher Rutherford, five great grandkids, Rosalie Hall, Demitri Lemons, Adriel Hall, K’amari Loper, and Koa Loper, her sister Elexia Pulling and children, Ray Pulling (Julie), Quinton Pulling (Eva), Michelle Prior (Sam), and Angela Harlow (Ed), nephews and nieces, Sherry Thomas, Tammy Casiano, Sheila Minor, and David (Scott) Minor. Visitation and service will be held at Woody Funeral Home (Atlee Chapel), and reception at Life Church. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place on February 16, 2026 2 p.m. at Signal Hill Memorial Park,
