BUCHANAN, Robert Lee Jr., 92, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 8, 2018. He passed away at Cedarfield in Richmond. Born on March 31,1926 to Robert L. Sr. and Martha Reynolds Buchanan. Robert was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Margaret Marie Logan Buchanan. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Robert was a graduate of John Marshall High School in Richmond and a graduate of University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and retired from Wheat First Securities as a Senior Vice President. Robert was also a faithful member of Richmond’s First Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at 1 p.m., at Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
