Ronald Leroy Gambill

GAMBILL, Ronald L.”Ron”, 62, of Richmond, departed this life on Thursday, April 5, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Gambill; his mother, Ruby L. Utsman Gambill; sister, Karen A. Gambill; and son, James W. Gambill. Ron graduated from Hermitage High School and was a USMC Veteran. Ron worked for many years as a manager at Safeway Stores. After leaving Safeway he became a Computer Network Engineer with the Virginia Division of Vital Records. He is survived by his daughter, Eva “Missi” Barker (Glenn); son, Robert A. Gambill and his two grandchildren, Hunter and Hayley Barker, as well as many loving friends and family. The family will receive friends for visitation and a memorial service on Monday, April 9, 2012, at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. from 6 to 8pm.
