Roscoe J. Jr.,

93, of Henrico, died December 28, 2012. He died as he lived, with grace and dignity and the knowledge that he would be joining his Lord. He leaves to honor his memory, his wife of 65 years, Arlene R. Helms; one son, James (Betty); one grandson, Matthew (Sharon); two great-grandsons, Shane and Aidan, all of Henrico; as well as extended family and special friends near and far. Roscoe was a WWII Navy veteran and retired plumber of J.A. Peyronnet & Son P & H. He was a lifelong member of Northminster Baptist Church. He especially enjoyed the fellowship with his friends of the Appel Sunday school class. A true gentleman in all respects, Roscoe will be remembered for his gentle, grateful spirit and his devotion to his family. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road. The family extends their gratitude to Dr. Martin Starkman and the staff of Fresenius Medical Care - West End Dialysis as well as the staff of Hospice of Virginia for their tender care and comfort.
