Ruth Stowe Carter

Ruth Ibelle Stowe Carter of Richmond, VA, passed away June 1, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents Grover Cleveland and Carrie Merritte Stowe. Survivors include daughters Kathryn C. Morgan and husband Robin M. Morgan of Richmond, VA, Elizabeth C. Beckmann and husband David R. Beckmann of Centennial, CO, and a son Charles E. Carter, Jr. of Richmond, VA. Seven grandchildren, Carrie M. Vurens van Es (Robert) of New York City, Robin M. Morgan, Jr. of Richmond, VA, Christopher C. Carter and Zachary H. Carter of Richmond, VA, Jeffrey D. Beckmann, Rachel N. Beckmann and Ryan J. Beckmann of Centennial , CO.

Ruth was a loving mother and grandmother as well as an active member in her church, Huguenot United Methodist Church.

Services will be held on Friday, June 7 at 2:00 pm in the Westhampton Memorial Park Mausoleum, 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Lakewood Manor Employee Christmas Fund.
