CLARK, S. Gordon, 76, of Richmond, passed away October 14, 2015. Born in New Bern, N.C., he was the son of the late Sam and Sarah Clark. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha of 48 years; his son, Tripp (Kim) of Richmond; and his daughter, Ashley Clark Forrest (Marc) of Yorktown; and three grandchildren, Mason Clark and Parker and Peyton Forrest.
Gordon was a professional office supply salesman, working for a local office supply company for 46 years and then finishing his career late last year with The Supply Room Companies. In addition, he enjoyed working in his garden, woodworking in his shop, fishing, reading, and most of all, spending time with his beloved family and friends. He is remembered by all as a fun-loving, generous and kind man who loved to make people laugh and gave the best hugs in the world. The family would like to thank Dr. Andrea Miksa, Gentiva Hospice and Care Advantage for their loving care during his time of illness.
The memorial service will be held 12 noon Saturday, October 17, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 903 Forest Avenue. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Special Olympics or Gentiva Hospice.
