Sara "Sally" Chase

She was the daughter of the late Ted and Betty Phillips. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Chase. She is survived by her children, Robert R. Heath (Cynthia); Sherry E. Wilkinson and Sara E. Edmonds (Terry); her grandchildren, Alek Heath, Meighlan Heath, Taylor Heath, James Heath, Andy Wilkinson, Adam Wilkinson, Laney Wilkinson, Chrissie Edmonds and Terry Edmonds II; her sister, Barbara Young (Steve); her brothers, Ted Phillips (Louise) and Dick Phillips (Kay); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition, she had two special "furry friends," her dog, Fluffy and her cat, Heather.

Sally attended Davis & Elkins College, Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Richmond School of Law, and retired as an Assistant United States Attorney with the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Virginia in Richmond, Va. She was an active member of the West End Assembly of God Church, where she sang in the Sanctuary Choir and participated yearly in the Christmas production of Glorious Christmas Nights.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 10, at 2:30 p.m. at the West End Assembly of God Church, 401 N. Parham Rd.; Pastor Bob Laughlin officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Richmond Office, 1506 Willow Lawn Dr., Suite 207, Richmond, Virginia 23230.
