Sarah Cousins Hoggard

Sarah Cousins Hoggard On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at the age of 85, Sarah was reunited in her Heavenly home and into the arms of her husband, Walter "Pat" J. Hoggard Jr. and her son, Gordon Hutson "Hut" Tiller. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth "Libby" Gregg and her husband, Donnie; daughter-in-law, Lou Anne Tiller; grandsons, Gregory Hutson Tiller and his wife, Brittney, Kevin Guy Tiller and James Donald Gregg III "Trey"; two granddaughters, Madison Owens Coulter and Ashley Douglas Coulter; great-granddaughter, Kennedy Elizabeth Tiller; and her special cousin, Dr. Thomas D. Davis Jr., whom she considered her brother. Sarah was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and Madison College. Her love of children led her to a career as a secretary at Jackson Davis Elementary and Byrd Middle School until her retirement. She continued her love of children by being active in her grandchildren’s lives and activities. She supported her husband, Pat, in all of his numerous club activities. The family will receive friends at Woody Funeral Home Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229, on Friday evening, November 30, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. They would like to thank her Pinedale Farms neighbors for their caring hearts and unconditional support. A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 2 p.m., in the chapel at her lifelong church, First Baptist Church of Richmond, 2709 Monument Ave., Richmond, Va. 23220.
