I will always cherish the memories of growing up with Sherry as my best friend. She was always there for me whenever I needed her, and she will always be alive in my heart. She was a wonderful friend, and I enjoy telling the adventures we had together. I pray that God's love and comfort will surround the family during this very sorrowful time.

Mr. Doody, Casey, Caleb, and Emma, I am so sorry for your loss. Your wife and mother was truly a joy to all who came into contact with her. Every time she saw me at a Goochland track or cross country meet, she'd ask about my life and how I was. She really took deep interest in others and made them feel important. When Casey started school at UVA, I could tell how proud Sherry was of her daughter, it was overwhelming. She was so proud and filled with love for all of you, and I know she still is as she watches you from heaven. I have been blessed by your entire family and pray that you all may find comfort in Christ's promise of eternal life with Him. May God wrap His arms around your whole family. Love, Alyson

Dear Mr. Hammer, Carol, Dan, and family: Sherry's life was very significant to so many people, she left lasting impressions upon those who knew her. She was the most selfless person I have ever known. Words are inadequate at a time like this, but please know that my heart goes out to each of you during your loss.

To the Doody family, offering deepest sympathy to you during this time of beaverment. To know Sherry was to love her, for she had a smile that would brighten up any room. These last 9 years of working with Sherry was truly a blessing, because she wrote the book on caring and positive attitude. Know family that god gives you know more he feel you can bare. He brought you to it, and he will see you through. For Sherry ran a good race....She fought a good fight... Well Done thy good and faithful servant. God need another angel, and he couldn't have chose a better one. Family be blessed.
