Sherwood Lee Stephens was born July 15, 1954 in Durham, North Carolina. Sherwood joined the United States Navy in 1972. He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur Stephens & Carrie Mae Savoid-Harris; and his brother Charles Savoid.
Sherwood leaves to cherish his memories to his sister Sophie (Connecticut); one sister-in-law Cynthia Saviod (Connecticut) daughter LaShonda Stephens and her partner Andrew Whittington (Virginia), his granddaughters Aaliyah and Jhene’ Stephens (Virginia), his great granddaughter Ke’miyah Smith (Virginia), his grandson Thyrone Garnett Jr. (Tee Jay) and his wife (South Carolina); as well as a host of family and friends
A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday August 13th at 3 PM at Amelia Veterans Cemetery 10300 Pridesville Rd Amelia Courthouse.
