I found out yesterday the news. I was blown away. I remember running into you in March or April at Walgreens while I was making my delivery there. I am glad I was able to see you my friend. I will miss our talks at the Gym and talking about railroad. You will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Sid's passing.  He was a kind man and always there to help another passenger or myself in booking trips on Amtrak Railroad.  When I would return, he would always ask me how my trip went, and listen to how connections were made between trains and sights along the right-of-way.  He was more that just a great stationmaster in Williamsburg.  He will be missed.

Sid, Thank you for all of the fantastic memories and your friendship.  The road trips to Daytona Beach and Kentucky will stay with me forever. My sympathy goes out to your family.

Sidney was full of humor and talented...once thought he oughta' pursue his talent for making others laugh on stage, but I can see that he touched just as many lives working at Amtrak and friends he's made along the way.  Rest, funny-man, in the Lord.

I went to high school with Sidney. Sorry to hear of his passing. Sending prayers to his family and friends.

Sid was my husband's best friend. I recall our Christmas visits, with Sid and his family members. Sid was always smiling, with a handful of great jokes! My deepest sympathy to Sid's family and friends for your loss.

Sid was a great friend to me we would talk about fishing and hunting and we would always talk about Amtrak and their heritage units Sid would always look out for me at the Williamsburg Amtrak station letting me know if there was anything special on the train so i could take some pictures of them Sid truly loved his job he would always talk about his past stations he worked at in Charleston and Richmond he always had some great stories to tell Sid was a great friend and he will truly be missed by everyone down here in Williamsburg

My sincere condolences to the family.  I, and others at Amtrak in Charleston were fortunate to be able to work with and know Sid during several years of his life in the 80's.  Many years have passed, but I have many fond memories of Sid from worktime, beachtime, boattime, whitewater rafting times, and just old fun times.  "Old friends, they shine like diamonds"
