Sue earned her B. A. degree in music from Tennessee Wesleyan and her Masters in Religion from Scarritt College in Nashville.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Parham and her parents Ruby and James Barnes of Kissimmee Fl. Sue is survived by her children, Nancy Yesbeck (Ed) and George Amos, her grandchildren Luke Yesbeck and Adam Yesbeck (Nicole), and her two great grandsons, Joseph and Vincent Yesbeck.
Sue’s love of books led her to a career as a librarian both in Lakeland, FL and here in Richmond,VA. Sue retired from U of R after 20 plus years. An avid basketball fan, she had season tickets to her beloved Spiders for years long after she retired. She taught music, sang in various choirs, most notably with Heartstrings. Sue and Bob loved to travel both domestically and internationally, including the Far East and Europe.
Visitation will be held on Friday Oct 2nd at 12:00 pm at Woody's Funeral Home on Parham Rd. Funeral service will be held afterward at 12:45 pm with interment to follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
