Sydney Michelle Sessions

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sydney Michelle Sessions, who left us too soon on February 21st, 2024. Born on February 4th, 1995, Sydney graced our lives with a radiant spirit and thoughtful presence for 29 years.

Sydney's reflection and kindness touched everyone she encountered. A resounding message from her life was a simple, profound mantra: "Be kind to all".

Sydney is survived by her loving mother Debra Buff Sessions and her father Thomas Gregory Sessions, and loving grandmother Thetus Sessions. Sydney was a cherished sibling to her brother Tyler and sister in law Liza. She also leaves behind her special partner, Patrick Dawson. Sydney's treasured relationships with her family extended to her bonds with many dear friends, all of whom are grieving her premature departure.

A memorial service to celebrate Sydney's life is scheduled for Saturday March 2nd, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the Woody Funeral Home-Parham Road and Three Chopt in Richmond. All who knew and loved Sydney are welcome to attend and share in commemorating her life lived with depth, sincerity, and kindness.

In Sydney's memory, rather than flowers, contributions can be made to the Mental Health America of Virginia. This organization is one close to Sydney's heart and embodies her belief in humane understanding and support for people's mental wellbeing.
