Sylvia Arlene Kaiserman

She was preceded in death by her husband, LTC Donald B Kaiserman; her parents Henry & Daisy Daphne Elliott; & her brother, Charles Rogers Elliott. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah A Warren (Grant) & Holly K Cash (Christopher) and son, Michael Scott Kaiserman (Heidi); granddaughters, Kathryn A Warren, Meghan L Cash, Ana L Kaiserman & Madison L Kaiserman.

Her father was a US Army Major which allowed her to travel all over the world during her youth which included elementary school in Switzerland, junior high school in Japan and a Chi Omega graduate from Transylvania University in Kentucky, USA in 1959 to marry her Army Helicopter Pilot in Fairbanks, Alaska, USA. They met while she visited her parents stationed in Alaska as she worked during summer breaks as a stewardess with Cordova Airlines.

She was the best loving & supportive mother that her spouse & children could ever ask for. Teaching them, with her strong & gentle grace, the importance of family and kindness to others that carried over into her career as a teaching assistant at Miller Avenue Elementary School located in Shoreham, New York (Long Island). She started her career when her youngest started school there and was loved by all who knew her until her retirement in 2000, 25 years later.

A private internment service will be held in the future at Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia, VA. Her family appreciates the care from the staff at Manor East in Covenant Woods and Traditions Health Hospice during her transition to the home of our heavenly Father. Any donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in her memory.
