Thelma Mills Chappell, age 84, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2012. She was born to the late Richard and Effie Mills in 1927. Thelma was a member of Grove Ave. Baptist Church and retired from Reynolds Metals Corp.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Robert F Chappell. She is survived by her son Dennis Chappell and wife Lila, grandchildren; Holly Wilcox and husband Chip, and Evan Chappell and wife Sarah, and three great grandchildren; Abbie, Emma, and Noah Wilcox, one brother Kenneth Mills and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, Va. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 1:00pm with interment to follow at Westhampton Memorial Park.
