HINES, Thomas James, age 63, of Crewe and Richmond, died following a sudden illness November 2, 2017. He is survived by sisters Sharon Conlyn and Judy Stoltenberg. A memorial service will be held Wednesday November 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Rd., Richmond. Tom was a US Veteran, having served in the Air Force. He had a kind, tender heart and would do just about anything to help out someone else. He also believed in extravagant generosity, sometimes leaving a much larger tip than was expected. Even when he didn't have much himself, he was always giving, helping others. To honor him the family suggests you make a donation of some kind to help another person out, so his generous spirit can live on.

Big Tom was my Daddy's best friend ("Wolf" Shank). I've known him since I was a baby...he was kind hearted, generous, and ALWAYS there for you when you're in need. I am so very saddened to hear of his sudden passing, as I know that he was very loved and appreciated by family and friends alike. To the Hines Family - I pray that the Lord brings you comfort in this difficult time. Big Tom - I love will be sorely missed!

All my love,

Brittany Fletcher (Shank)

So sorry for your loss. Jesus wept after the death of his friend Lazarus. We weep àlong with you. His example was written in the Bible to give us hope. ROM. 15:4 John 11:35

I Remember when you got your first Harley Davidson. Used to hide it at my house so your mom wouldn't know. I'm going to miss you brother. Ride in peace
