Thomas Stephen Nardo, 96, of Richmond, Va., peacefully passed away on July 13, 2021 with his family by his side. Tom was a kind and devoted Catholic, husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded to the gates of heaven by his loving wife of 66 years, Harriett Ann Nardo. He is survived by his beloved son, Stephen T. Nardo (Carol) of Midlothian, and six grandchildren, Alexis Rowe (Patrick), Logan, Tanner and Elise Nardo and Alex and Catherine Burton. Tom was a proud World War II Navy veteran, achieving the rank of Quartermaster Second Class while serving in the Pacific theatre. His wife, Ann, was the first love of his life; his family second; and numbers third. He was the first in his family to graduate from college, worked for over 50 years as a financial director, most recently at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and loved a good baseball statistic. His wit, humor and zest for life will live forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Tom was a Patriots Fan. I’ll never forget the third quarter of the Patriots-Falcons Super Bowl. The Patriots trailed by 25.

Tom said the Patriots were going to come back and win….

And they pulled off the greatest comeback in Super Bowl History.

So many fond memories.

A great friend. And the father of a best friend.
