Xuan Van Nguyen

Born in the historic city of Huế, Vietnam, Xuan immigrated to the United States in 1994 in search of a better life for his family. He made Richmond his home, where he lived with quiet strength, humility, and deep devotion to those he loved.

Xuan worked as a forklift operator at Maruchan Virginia, where he was known for his reliability, work ethic, and kindness. He retired in 2019 after many years of dedicated service.

He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his unwavering love for his family, and the sacrifices he made to ensure a brighter future for the next generation.

Xuan is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Bich Hang; his children: Minh Nguyen and wife Tram Pham, Duc Nguyen and wife Thanh Thai, Chau Nguyen, and An Nguyen and husband Quang Le. He is also lovingly remembered by his five grandchildren: Matthew Nguyen, Angela Nguyen, Aaron Nguyen, Raymond Le, and Elaine Le.

He is preceded in death by his son, Quang Nguyen.

A visitation for Xuan will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woody Funeral Home-Parham, 1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond, Virginia 23229. A prayer service will occur Friday, August 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Woody Funeral Home-Parham.
