Anne eventually moved to Greenwood, Mississippi, where she went through high school. She then went to Millsaps College, where she met Bill Moore, her future husband. Anne became a teacher in two schools, then set up a gift shoppe called The Pine Cone in 1982. That turned out to be a fabulous shoppe and Anne, who was also called Mimi, worked there for decades.
Anne also loved St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church and spent considerable time in the church until she got ill.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, William H. (Bill) Moore, and her brother, Ted Turner.
Anne is survived by her sons, Hal Moore and Michael Moore; daughter-in-law Kristi Moore; her granddaughters, Kate Armstrong, Lyndi Tankersley, and Shelby Ray; her grandson, Wil Moore; great-grandchildren: Lily Armstrong; Kai, JoJo, Jessi, and Levi Tankersley; and Hallie Ray.
