

Betsy was a proud graduate of Pelahatchie High School, where she made lifelong friends and built a strong foundation for her future. She dedicated over 26 years of faithful service to Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company, where she was respected for her dedication, professionalism, and kindness. During her time there, Betsy formed many lasting friendships that she cherished throughout her life and continued to nurture, often meeting her Southern Farm friends for lunch in the years that followed.
A devoted member of Parkway Hills United Methodist Church for many years, Betsy's faith was central to her life. She loved her church family and lived her faith daily through compassion, generosity, and service.
Betsy had a generous and caring heart and was known for taking people in and helping others whenever they were in need. She treasured time spent with friends, especially her Bunko group, with whom she played for many years. These dear friends were among her very best friends, bringing her great joy, laughter, and companionship. She always looked forward to their time together.
Betsy shared a loving and enduring marriage of 62 years with her husband, Horace, a testament to love, commitment, and partnership.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Elisha Adcox and Ellen Vaughn; her son-in-law, Neal Vaughn; her grandson, Morgan Adcox, and his wife, Mamie; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted friends, and wonderful neighbors who became like family-all of whom she loved dearly and who returned that love with devotion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. T. Callicott Il and Kathryn Callicott; her brother, J. T. Callicott Ill; and her sisters, Corneil "Sissy" Callicott Coleman and Emilie Ann Callicott Jones.
Betsy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her warm smile, and the love she shared so freely with her family and friends. She touched many lives and leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and grace.
A service to celebrate Betsy's life will be held at Parkway Memorial Funeral Home 1161 Highland Colony Parkway Ridgeland, MS, 39157 with visitation from 10:00-11:00 am followed by funeral service at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory.
