Betty Carol Looper, 76, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral home in Ridgeland from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 4:00pm with visitation starting at 3:00pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Parkway Memorial Cemetery. Betty was born on April 17, 1938 to Lorenzo Dow and Susie Farrish. She grew up in Yazoo city, MS and graduated from Yazoo City High School. She worked for MS Valley Gas Company, The Frito-Lay Company and retired from Cal-Maine Foods after 20 years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, loved playing golf but most of all spending time on the beach at her second home in Destin, Fl. Betty was preceded in death by her mother and father, and brother Larry Ferrish. She is survived by her husband of 28 years Ken Looper, two daughters Tracye and Leslie, two sons Gerald and Ken, seven grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her beloved Shih Tzu Angel. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the MS Animal Rescue League or Charity of your choice.
