She was a graduate of the 1952 Class of Collins High School. She attended Mississippi University for Women. She worked for an abstracting Land Title company, and for Jackson Iron and Metal Company in the accounting department.
She married the late Tom Spight, and they were blessed to have shared 49 years of marriage before his death in 2006.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Mansour and husband George Mansour Jr. of Lake Village AR; two grandsons, Thomas Mansour (Jane Howell), and Jeffrey Mansour (Samantha); two great grandchildren Mattie Louise, and William Tate.
She is also survived by sister Shelby Williamson (Butch), brother Larry Rutland (Judy); and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by sister Betty Groebe and brothers Jimmy Rutland, and Don Rutland.
A funeral service for Billie will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony Pkwy, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
Serving as pallbearers are Thomas Mansour, Jeffrey Mansour, Robert Williamson, Chris Groebe, Paul Grobe and Greg Rutland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse, or charity of your choice.
