Bobby "Bob" J. Templeton

Bobby (Bob) J. Templeton passed away Monday, May 9, 2016. He was born August 15, 1931, to Willie L. Templeton and Ruby Ellis Templeton in Water Valley, Mississippi and raised in Starkville, Mississippi. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Business.

After a thirty year career with New York Life Insurance Company, he retired, dividing his time between his home in Ridgeland and his mountain home in North Carolina. Bob enjoyed collecting antique clocks, watching SEC sports, and the stock market. Most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren, Lauren Newton Roady (Chase), Leigh Newton Little (Philip), Alan Michael Templeton (Anne), Lainey Newton Kemp (Jonathan), Libby Newton Nabors (Nick). Also, his precious great-grandchildren Whit, Woods & Worth Roady; Adeline, Braden and Charlie Little; Henley Kemp; Will & Matthew Nabors and numerous nieces & nephews. He is survived by his wife of 63 years; Doris Marie Henley, his children; Marilyn Templeton Newton(Bob) of Oxford, MS, Mike Templeton(Ceil Walker) of Memphis, TN and Terri Templeton(Steve) of Anaheim, CA.

He is predeceased by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Services will be held at Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland at 11:00 am Wednesday May 11, 2016.
