In 1962, Frankie began his career with Arkansas Cement in Oakland, MS for the construction of Interstate 55. Later that year, Frankie moved to Memphis to continue the construction project on Interstate 55. In 1982 he and his family transferred to Jackson, MS where Arkansas Cement acquired a Quikrete plant. He was the plant manager for precision packaging until he retired in 2005, after 43 years of service.
Frankie loved to spend time with his family and working on his farm in Oakland, where he raised beef cattle in his earlier years. He never met a stranger and loved to talk to anyone; known for his sweet and friendly personality. He joined the Methodist church in Oakland at a young age.
Frankie is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 54 years, Shelia Langford Davidson; his son, Jason Davidson and his wife Noreen; his daughter, Kristy Johnson and her husband E.J.; and his precious granddaughter, Miller Johnson; and his sister June Mitchell of Tupelo.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Parkway Funeral Home. A celebration of Frankie's life will be held in the chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Parkway Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Stan Cheatham will officiate.
