Carolyn Madden Stephenson, 89, passed away Sunday, June 12,2011 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama. The graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 Friday morning, June 17, 2011 at Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
She was the daughter of John and Lottie Madden of Concord, Georgia. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and was retired at the time of her death.
Mrs. Stephenson was a longtime member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church where she served in numerous positions. At the time of her death she had relocated to Prattville, Alabama so she could be near her son and his family.
She is survived by her son, C. Keith Stephenson (Pat) of Prattville, Alabama; a granddaughter, Rebekah Stephenson; and a grandson, Keith Stephenson III.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lottie Madden; one brother, John B. Madden, Jr.; and two sisters, Maude Haygood and Jo Searcy.
