Cecil was born in Simpson County, Mississippi on November 12, 1921 to Alexander Lomax Sandifer and Lu Vicy Clark Sandifer. In his life, Cecil was known as the “Draftsman of the South”, and was also an ordained Primitive Baptist minister for over 7 decades.
Cecil is survived by his two daughters, Barbara Sandifer Blair and Patricia Sandifer Wilkinson; daughter-in-law, Cindy Sandifer, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, Clara Mae Sandifer and Virginia Beach Sandiger, parents, 2 sons, Alton Alexander Sandifer and Robert Edward Sandifer, 4 brothers; 2 sisters, and 1 grandchild, Lucas Nelson Sandifer.
Visitation for Cecil Sandifer will be held Friday, November 20, 2015 at Grace Primitive Baptist Church in Pearl, MS from 10:00 to 11:00 am, with a service starting at 11:00.
