I just learned of Chuck's passing. I pray for each of you. He was a good friend to my brother when they were teenagers and I always thought he was the kindest boy. I'm sure he was a wonderful man, husband and father.

To Connie, Chris, and Craig

I've pretty much been best friends with Craig since I was 12 when I first moved to Brandon. I was a troublesome kid with an unfortunate reputation and it was tough dealing with that sometimes. Mr. Chuck and Mrs. Connie didn't mind and always had me over to their house to spend the night, watch movies, make us supper and have endless supply of candy. Mr. Chuck was pretty loquacious but always had good advice. He was a great guy and had an extremely loving family. I'm privileged to know them. I wish I could have made the visitation and funeral. I hope to visit Brandon soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mr. Chuck was truly a great person, a loving father, and a devoted husband. He will truly be missed. We know he is in a better place now and will be watching over his family until they are reunited in Heaven.

To Connie, Chris, and Craig. I wish I could have made it today for the visitation and the funeral tomorrow. Craig and I have been best friends since I was 12 or so, when I first moved to Brandon, MS. Many parents of friends or kids in Brandon gave me a hard time before they even knew me, and it was tough sometimes dealing with that. Mr. Chuck and Mrs. Connie never did anything of the sort. We pretty much only got chewed by Mr. Chuck when we deserved it. They were real kind and always had me over to spend the night and watch movies, made me supper and let us have endless amounts of candy. As we grew older it never changed, I hope to visit Crossgates sometime soon and see you guys in person. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Connie, I am so very sad to hear about Chuck. He had planned to attend the City's retired luncheon this month and we talked about the City days and how he had improved. I am sorry for your and the boys' loss. He was such a happy and encouraging guy, I will miss him. If I can do anything for you and your family, let me know.
