Born on April 9, 1935, Mr. Chow lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family. Alongside his wife Sandy, he fulfilled the American dream by opening and operating Tai Hong Chinese Restaurant for more than 50 years. Through countless meals shared with the community, he built not only a successful business but also lasting friendships with generations of loyal customers.
Mr. Chow was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Together, he and Sandy raised three sons—Alon, Leland, and Jim—instilling in them the values of hard work, perseverance, integrity, and loyalty to family.
Mr. Chow found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved taking walks outdoors, preparing delicious meals for family and friends, and sharing his love of cooking with those around him. His happiest moments were spent surrounded by his family, especially his cherished granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Po Chung Wong.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Chow; his sons, Alon Chow and his wife, Christina, Leland Chow, and Jim Chow and his wife, Kimberly; and his treasured granddaughters, Madeline Chow, Barrett Chow, and Lottie Chow.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Jue, Benson Chow, John DeFillipo, Hong Chow, Wing Chow, and Edward Wong.
