So so sorry to hear this news.  Opus was a great man! I think of Chris often. 😪

I am sorry to hear about the passing of Christopher.  At work, Chris was always willing to help and share his knowledge. Please accept my deepest sympathies.  Sometimes we are surrounded by the worst incidents, on that period we should keep in mind that bad times will end.  Once again, my deepest condolences and his presence will be deeply missed. 

The entire Birch family is in my thoughts and prayers at this time and always. We all grew up in Waterloo NY. Went to Waterloo schools and  went on to live our lives.   I am sorry for your loss of Chris.   We are all in Gods hands.  God bless all of you at this time and always.   In school he was a lot of fun and a nice guy.  I know all of you that knew and loved him. He will be missed.......... he is on another journey. For life is eternal

Chris was such a nice man, always smiling and funny.  He was always willing to assist you with issues.  He was a huge asset to the Saks Team and will be greatly missed.  My sincere sympathy to his family.

Chris was one of the best security analysts I knew, but he was really special because of his kindness and desire to make others successful.   We spent many long hours together and he would keep working to figure out what situation we were in and how to best respond. 

His sense of humor was also appreciated,  but I admit we teased him a lot about bacon.

Chris was one of my true friends starting way back in Cub Scouts in the 1960s  thru Boy Scouts when we were on the Judo exhibition team together putting on shows for others. We'd both played football and wrestling for years. Our families spent many hours together and I know life was not easy at home for Deb,Chris, Kelly and Billy but they grew into awesome men and women. Sadly I have not seen or heard from Chris since he went away to the Navy and me to the Marines but I know God just got another angel.

Visiting my family's trailer in the country. And watching our fathers go into the woods across the road trying to find out if the bright lights in there, was  a U F O. Us kids were so excited. We thought we were going to see a real live Alien.

Sitting around the kitchen table with Chris and his friends, when I spent nights with Kelly, playing cards.
There's so many memories. Chris has been missed by me throughout the years. And now, I will never have the chance to share the many memories with him.


As a teenager I remembered our times in Boy Scouts. Chris was a younger scout and I enjoyed having him in my patrol. We had fun camping and he was good at learning karate. A good person to all. Although I haven't seen Chris since high school I am not surprised he was successful and lived a good life. My condolences to his family. 

Chris will be missed so much! He was a giving, kind man that always made us  feel welcome. We are keeping you in our prayers, and praying for comfort and peace during this time. 

Kerry and I met Chris and Bill at church right after we got married.  So many good times playing cards and eating out. Lots of fun times. Rest in peace my brother. 

I was Chris & Bill's Pastor for several years when they lived in Vicksburg. He was a good brother in the Lord the years that I knew him.  I know he will be greatly missed.

Chris was an amazing person. I got to spend a lot of time with him while I was at Saks. He was always making me laugh and the first to help if you needed it. I am saddened to hear of his passing but I know heaven gained another angel.

Crazy times...I was just asking a former co-worker about Chris last week.  Definitely enjoyed working with him and he was a wealth of knowledge.  Sincere condolences to the family, I know he will be missed.

Chris worked for me during my time at Saks. He was one of the best. He loved sharing his knowledge with the team to help make sure we had the BEST team ever.   Chris and I traveled a lot together. My prayers are with you and your family.  

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  I worked closely with Chris and talked to him every day for almost two years at Hudson's Bay Company/Saks Fifth Avenue.  From the first time we talked when he interviewed me, I "got" him.  I used to make him laugh every day and he would make me laugh as well.  I looked forward to talking to him.  I am going to miss that.  I guess we "got" each other.  Now that I know you're a Scorpio just like I am, I really get it now.  Chris was always willing to help and share his knowledge.  He always had our backs and stood up for us.  He was a straight shooter and an honest person and I appreciated that.  Chris has had an immense impact on my life both personally and professionally.  You will always be our Master Cyber Jedi.  Even though you have gone to an unknown part of the Universe, you will always be on my mind and in my heart.  I'll see you down the road Chris.

Chris was a great mentor for me. His attitude towards work and team is what inspired me. I’m glad I got to spend time with the purest soul. His presence will be deeply missed. Thank you for everything. May your soul rest in peace.

Chris was a great colleague and friend, we had conversations many a time and he was very humble, humorous and helpful. 

We will never forget your contributions and we will miss you. 

I met Chris when I first joined Saks in  2015. He was always there to lend a helping hand and joke around. His sense of humor and knowledge will definitely be missed. My prayers are with his family and friends and may he rest in peace. I'm sure he looking down on us having a smoke.....

The impact Chris had on everyone is one that will last forever.  From the start, I was made aware of Chris' personality by others, but it had never bothered me because he reminds me of my own father and conversations had flowed naturally. We would both complain that we would need a nap, or that we have back pains, despite him being 3x my age. I remember feeling intimidated, being the newbie on the team, but Chris had always made himself available no matter what day or time it was. He was always willing to help and would always have my back and tell me good job, he was proud of me and how far I've came. He told me he would love to hear all the stories and experiences I would have when I was his age in 40 years and I know that no matter where I go in my career, I will always have a part of Chris and the knowledge and wisdom he shared. Rest easy, Chris. 

Chris was a great guy, we had worked together for many years and was my "go to" guy, if I ever needed anything. I will sure miss our talks and his generous help.

Chris was my colleague at HBC. He was one of my favorite people to work with due to his candor, approachability, and extensive knowledge about the field of IT Security. He was the guy to go to when something big was happening and you really needed a clear picture of what’s going on. I remember meeting him in person in Jackson, Mississippi about 5 years ago.  A fellow lacrosse player, I enjoyed talking with him about the game. He was the most approachable guy and usually the first guy in the office in the morning. He was the person I talked to the most. We shared some great stories about our younger days. 

I really miss him.  

I’m so saddened by the news. It’s small comfort to be reminded of his memory and the faith that his spirit lives on through it. My prayers are with his family and friends. May God bless him and may he rest in peace.


I am so sorry to hear about Chris passing away.  As part of the Saks family, he's been a friend and colleague for many years. We will miss him very much.

Chris will be greatly missed. He had a great attitude and always knew when to inject a bit of humor during meetings to keep things light.
