Clara "Sally" Nell Chaney entered into the Kingdom of God on January 28, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Damascus Baptist Church with Brothers Tray Earnhart and Tim Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Flora, MS. The family will be receiving family and friends from 11 AM until the hour of service at the church.
Sally was born in 1940 in Yazoo County, MS to the late Slick and Juanita Warren. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Bo for 16 1/2 years; a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and mother-in-law. She was pillar of the community due to her services, work associations, and church life. For over 50 years, Sally served her family, friends, and community members through her association with the food service industry. Sally never met a stranger and loved everyone and was loved in return. Taking care of her family was her mission in life. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Bobby Tripp, Jr.
Remaining behind to cherish Sally's memory is her husband, Bo Chaney; her daughters. Sherry and her husband Ronnie Rasberry, Ashley Beth and her husband Nathan Baker; her son Arlis Bradford; her grandchildren, Jonathan Rasberry, Jessica Rasberry, Wesley Rasberry, Bobby Tripp III, Mary Grace Chaney, Lily Baker, and Ray Boulden Baker; several great-grandchildren; her brothers, Bo Warren, Ed Warren and wife Linda, Roger Warren and wife June, Randy Warren and wife Joy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bo Chaney, Ronnie Rasberry, Jonathan Rasberry, Wesley Rasberry, Bobby Tripp, and Monty Fletcher. Honorary pallbearers will be Lacy Cohea, Nathan Baker, Steve Fielder, and the Deacons of Damascus Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Damascus Baptist Church.
