

Clem Burwell passed away May 24, 2022 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Saturday, May 28 from 1 - 2pm followed immediately with a brief service at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS.
Clem was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Luckett Burwell, his brother Dudley Sale Burwell and his sister Esther Thompson. He is survived by his son, Luke Burwell and Luke’s daughter, Molly which is a little brown Miniature Schnauzer.
Clem was born in Ebenezer, MS on August 27, 1929 to Winfrey and Clement L. Burwell, Sr. He attended Lexington High School then enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1948 and was honorably discharged in 1952. Following the Air Force Clem enrolled at Mississippi State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1955. Still not finished with his education in 1960 Clem passed the test to become a CPA. Finally, while working at Redd Pest Control he back to school at Mississippi College to obtain an MBA in 1977.
Clem worked at Redd Pest Control from 1966 - 1996. He was President of Redd Pest Control from 1984 - 1996.
Clem loved to quail hunt, bass fish and enjoyed cooking. Clem and his wife Peggy moved to Lake Caroline in 1992. They had the 3rd house on the lake and the two of them fished almost every day.
